Jacob Bryce acts as the European Office of global C/VCs, covering British, European and Israeli startups for the purposes of VC investment (and business-collaborations / M&A, as applicable).  With an initial career as an investment transaction lawyer, a Wharton MBA and 25 years of C/VC experience, Jacob performs the full-stack role of an Investment Director, from sourcing through to DD, transactions and board roles.  Based in Vienna and speaking fluent German, French, Italian and Hebrew, Jacob attends the main startup conferences in UK/Europe/Israel and works through a wide network of startup, C/VC and incubator contacts.

ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:

• Deal Sourcing: Networking and attending key conferences within the startup, VC, CVC, incubator and university communities to identify relevant startups; plus relationship development with C/VCs to ensure access to deals.

• Startup Relationship Management, from sourcing and first contact through exploration, investment and beyond.
• Evaluation, including deep-dives, DD, business analysis, customer calls, engagement of technical experts.

* Transaction Development, from negotiations to term-sheet and contractual documents.

+ Commercial Collaboration Development (for CVCs/Corporates) with Business Units, from testing and PoCs to developing commercial frameworks and transactions.

* Post-Deal: Attending board meetings (as official representative or informal observer) | Managing communications with the startup | Facilitating ongoing commercial developments | Preparation for exit and exit negotiations.
